Annual Mushing Clinic

This weekend event is an opportunity to have hands-on mushing training from some of California's top dog drivers & trainers!

You will receive one-on-one personalized training in teaching your dog the basics of pulling in harness, how to safely experiment with different types of equipment (sled, carts, scooters, etc.) and have the opportunity to experience working with trained dog teams in action! Plus group mini seminars to learn even more! All of this is followed up by a wonderful dinner and a chance to mingle amongst everyone for chance to get to know them better.

We supply the equipment - you supply the dogs! All breeds welcome!

COST:

NOVICE $160 per person (includes Saturday night dinner)
Bring a 2nd team member to train with you for an additional $80!!!!!

NEW! ADVANCED $210 per person (includes Saturday night dinner)
Bring a 2nd team member to train with you for an additional $105!!!!!

This weekend event is an opportunity to have hands-on mushing training
from some of California's top dog drivers & trainers! You will receive one-
on-one personalized training in teaching your dog the basics of pulling in

Cost of clinic is $160 per participant (no limit on dogs) $80 for a second team member (includes Saturday night dinner and all events/seminars). Early registration is advised. This weekend event is a fun get-together for all levels of
experience. Come run your dogs, meet other mushers, learn more
about the club and sign up for other upcoming events......

Don’t want to camp?
Plenty of places to stay in town or at Cedar Lodge!

We will hook up dogs and run out a few miles.....
And camp out along the trail!

North end of Lake Almanor on State Highway 36 near junction of Hwy 89
Go south on County Rd 324 just past Cedar Lodge

Chester Race

Virtual Chester Race

Hi everyone

With concerns regarding COVID I am proposing a Virtual  Chester Race.

Here’s how it will work!!!!

4 Dog 4 miles

6 Dog 6 miles

8 Dog 8 miles

Open class anything over 8 dogs 10 miles… NO maximum number dogs.

Each participant runs on the trail of their choice and meets the mileage requirement for their class…must run the same trail each day.

Equipment: Participants can use any of the following: Sled, Cart or Quad. Must be the same each day.

Participant will submit their time and mileage to the Race Secretary each day.

Entry Fee will be $15 per team.

All participants will receive a Certificate of Participation .

The top three finishers in each class will receive a 1st 2nd or 3rd  place Certificate.
