Alaska

ADMA (Alaska Dog Mushers Association) - Fairbanks, Alaska, Hosts of the International Sled Dog Symposium, the ADMA Gold Run, Open North American, Limited North American and the Annamaet Challenge Series races.

Alaska Skijoring & Pulk Association - The Alaska Skijoring and Pulk Association (ASPA) is a nonprofit organization that promotes recreational and competitive skijoring in the Alaskan Interior. Each season, we coordinate more than twenty events, including how-to clinics, fun races, competitive races, and tours.

Alaskan Sled Dog & Racing Association - Anchorage, Alaska - In 1949 the Alaska Sled Dog and Racing Association (ASDRA) was formed to promote and preserve the great Alaskan tradition of dog mushing. Hosts a Women's World Championship February 18, 19 and 20, 2005.

Aurora Dog Mushers Club - Wasilla, Alaska, J.P. Norris and Kari Skogen are on the Board.

Chugiak Dog Mushers - The trails currently used by the Chugiak Dog Mushers have been used by mushers for years and are part of the Historic Iditarod Trail.

Fairbanks Junior Dog Mushers' Association - The Fairbanks Junior Dog Mushers’ Association, Inc. is a nonprofit corporation located in Fairbanks, Alaska. Our purpose is to engage exclusively in nonprofit activities designed to educate minors in the sport of dog mushing. Specifically, the nonprofit corporation shall endeavor to: (1) promote and educate responsible dog care and dog training among minors; (2) promote and encourage healthy dog mushing competition and (3) promote the active participation by minors in the day-to-day management of the nonprofit corporation, to the greatest extent permitted by law.

KDMA - Kotzebue Dog Mushers Association

Montana Creek Dog Mushers Association - The purpose of the orgainization is: To promote the sport of dog mushing in the local area (Willow/Wasilla, AK) by providing the organization through which the various aspects of the sport can be administered.

North American Sijoring and Ski Pulk Association - NASSPA is a non-profit, all volunteer organization that promotes this rapidly growing sport by organizing races, recreational tours and instructive clinics and meetings with an emphasis on safe, responsible care and handling. NASSPA also grooms more than 20 kilometers of multiuse trails in the Anchorage area.

Nome Kennel Club - The World's Oldest Dog Mushing Organization!

Peninsula Sled Dog and Racing Association - Organized in 1962 the PSDRA was established to encourage breeding and training of sled dogs, holding sled dog races for speed, endurance distance and weight handicaps. It was also founded to foster social, educational and business relationships between and among members; and to broaden the interest in the pursuit of advancement of Alaska sled dogs.

Second Chance League - The Second Chance League is a group of Fairbanks mushers focused on finding permanent homes for sled dogs. SCL is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. We work with dogs exclusively from the municipal animal shelter in Fairbanks, evaluate them, foster them, and train them with our own dog teams. Many of these dogs have excellent bloodlines.

Two Rivers Dog Mushers Association - Promoting the sport of dog mushing and to organize races, social events, fund raising events, etc. in the Two Rivers, AK area.

Arizona

Arizona Mountain Mushers - The purpose of Arizona Mountain Mushers is to promote dog sled sports by sponsoring cart races, sled races, weight-pulling contests, backpacking trips, behavior classes, obedience classes, and nutritional development classes.

Colorado

Colorado Mountain Mushers - The Colorado Mountain Mushers was established in 1989. The Goals of the club are to foster novice and family racing along with other working dog associated winter sports by organizing a fun racing circuit of professional quality, encouragement of new mushers and to promote and foster the well being of sled dogs.

Rocky Mountain Sled Dog Club - The Rocky Mountain Sled Dog Club was formed in the winter of 1960-61. There was a small group of Siberian Husky and Samoyed owners who wanted to emphasize the working aspect of their breeds.

Maine

Down East Sled Dog Club, Inc. - Promoting public interest in, and the understanding of the sport of sled dog racing and promoting the humane and responsible breeding, care, training, and driving of sled dogs.

The North Country Mush and Skijor Club - The purpose of the North Country Mush and Skijor Club is to provide support for individuals and families in the New Brunswick, Quebec and Northern Maine interested in dog powered sports.

The Maine Highlands Sled Dog Club - This club was formed recently by former officers and directors of Down East Sled Dog Club. We are also members, and very involved in Down East. The Maine Highlands Club will cater to novice and recreational mushers and pure breed teams. Critterwoods is the permanent race site for the club.

Massachusetts

Yankee Siberian Husky Club - "Yankee" is the oldest Siberian Husky Club, and it is very active. In a typical year, the club sponsors an AKC approved specialty show and an AKC match, three races including the well-known Sandwich Notch 60, and a "Working" day where inexperienced dogs can team up with an experienced sled dog team.

 

Michigan

Great Lakes Sled Dog Association - Promoting public interest in the sport of sled dog racing and related activities. Establishing uniform rules and procedures for the conduct of sled dog racing and related activities that will foster the safety of the competitors and animals involved. Promoting the education of the association's members on its rules, regulations and procedures. Informing and educating the members in the proper care and handling of the animals to insure their humane treatment and to insure identification and treatment of any health problem peculiar to the sled dog. Fostering cooperation among all member and race organizations.

M.U.S.H. - Mid Union Sled Haulers - Mid-Union Sled Haulers, MUSH for short, is an organization that was formed in 1980 by a group of mushers dedicated to dog sledding on an amateur basis and for the love of their dogs. Bill Raabe, of Battle Creek, Michigan, along with a handful of fellow drivers, scheduled a meeting at Bill’s house for interested drivers to discuss an amateur club of mushers. Notices of the meeting were distributed and over 30 people from Michigan, Ohio and Indiana attended the first meeting. The group decided to form an amateur sled dog club, which has come to be known as Mid-Union Sled Haulers.

Upper Peninsula Sled Dog Association - Hosts of the U.P. 200. and Midnight Run.

Minnesota

Midwest Skijor Club - Committed to advancing the sport of skijoring in the Twin Cities and upper Midwest.

Southern Minnesota Sled Dog Club - Mission is to facilitate organized events, educational workshops and seminars while supporting individuals interested in harness sports and sled dogs, and to give back to the communities, businesses and civic organizations that support our cause.

Montana

Montana Mountain Mushers - Montana Mountain Mushers is a non-profit Montana organization which supports and promotes the informed and humane use of sled dog teams for work, transportation, pleasure, and sport. The organization provides information about running dogs and aspects associated with dog mushing to mushers and the general public.

New Hampshire

New England Sled Dog Club - Eighty years ago in 1924, the New England Sled Dog Club, Inc. was organized in Wonalancet, New Hampshire at Wonalancet Farm, the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Walden. Racing in New Hampshire, Vermont and New York.

NH Mushers Association - Seeking to unite all mushers in the State of New Hampshire for the purpose of maintaining and promoting statewide trail privileges. Disseminating information. Promoting the safe and responsible use of trails.

New York

Canadian-American Sledders Inc. - A small organization that was established in 1962. The club was established to enjoy experiences and lessons learned from our dogs.

Oregon

Cascade Sled Dog Club - Cascade Sled Dog Club is a non-profit organization promoting the education, training, racing, showing, and humane care and treatment of northern breed dogs. The CDSC promotes the understanding of the sport of sled dog racing and the ethical treatment that underlines the sport through NW area races, school presentations, and demonstrations.

Cascade Skijoring Alliance - In 1996, a small group of skiers with dogs got together and formed the Cascade Skijoring Alliance in Bend Oregon. Training dogs to pull in harness and hooking them to skiers is a risky sport, so the group felt there needed to be an information source for beginners. Soon a newsletter was published, clinics and demonstrations took place, and a skijoring race was held each spring.

Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club - The Pennsylvania Sled Dog Club was founded in 1971 with the express purpose "to conduct sled dog races, and to promote the safe and humane racing, driving and training of sled dogs."

Vermont

Green Mountain Distance Mushers - Green Mountain Distance Mushers (GMDM) was established in the fall of 1996 as a mid-distance dog sledding club. Encourage mid-distance mushing. Promote the humane treatment of working sled dogs. Sponsor mid-distance sled dog races. Educate the public about the working sled dog. Have fun with our dogs.

Washington

The Northwest Sled Dog Association - Promote the evolution of the use of dogs as working animals for sport and companionship. Promote the safe, humane, and knowledgable care, treatment, training, and use of dogs. The perpetuation of good and proper sportsmanship and camaraderie.

Wisconsin

Wisconsin Trailblazers Sled Dog Club, Inc. - Sprint racing club in Wisconsin.
